What to see in Malaga in three days - The Perfect Route

First day in Malaga

We started the day with a visit to the Pompidou CentreParis' first foreign-based museum. After some sightseeing we will head to the oldest park in the city, the Parc de l'Alameda. Here we can relax on one of the benches while admiring the tropical fauna and beautiful fountains.

After relaxing we will head towards Calle Alcazabilla where we will visit the Alcazaba, The fortification, which is more than 800 years old, also served as a palace during the Al-Andalus period.

After soaking up the history of one of the oldest cities in Europe, we will cover it in the most traditional Malaga style in the Kraken Restaurant. When your stomach is full, we recommend you to get lost in the alleys of the historical centre until you reach the most famous and commercial street of the city, the Larios Street.

Second day in Malaga

On the second day, we will start by recharging our batteries at the Taberna Andaluza Lolita. We will then head to the city's most famous museum; the Picasso Museum which houses 3,500 works by the iconic Malaga artist Pablo Picasso.

Continuing with Pablo Picasso, we can see his living image in the form of a statue in the Plaza de la Merced, where his birthplace is also located. Make the most of your stop in this square to have a drink in one of the bars that line it.

Afterwards you can stroll along the promenade and stop at one of the little stalls selling dried fruit and nuts until you reach La Malagueta, where you can take a souvenir photo on its emblematic sign.

To end the day we return to the centre of Malaga, to the Plaza Uncibay, specifically to the Amaretto bar, where you can enjoy a glass of wine while you discuss the anecdotes that have been happening during your visit to Malaga.

Third day in Malaga

Finally we reach the last day. Today it's time to recharge our batteries with breakfast at the prestigious Beluga Restaurant. Next, we will go to Ciudad Jardín, specifically to visit the La Concepción Historic Botanical Garden, which is an English-style natural passage with a history that began more than 150 years ago. Don't forget your camera!

Afterwards we will return to the centre to visit the Malaga Cathedral,  or ''la manquilla'' for the people of Malaga. The characteristic feature of this cathedral is that it has not yet been completed after more than 500 years, hence the name ''la manquilla''.
