In each dish we present, we invite you to embark on an unforgettable journey through the vast artistic and cultural wealth of Malaga.
Metonymy “Museum of the Senses 2023”.”, is a exhibition in which the works of different artists are exhibited and in which we can find: painting, photography, sculpture, installation art, ceramics and happening.
It is also a “Artistic Laboratory”.”, where we carry out: We organise workshops, conferences, visits, micro-exhibitions and live artistic interventions.
As part of the main exhibition, weekly (depending on the duration of the exhibition), short micro exhibitions, The workshops, which shed light on the artistic and creative work of the different collectives we work with. Two years ago, we were aware of the great acceptance they had and in 2019, we improved the quality of them; this year, we have opened the range of participation in them, always in an inclusive way to different centres or groups with which we carry out some kind of collaboration through the “Artistic Laboratory” germ of our whole project; in them, we carry out artistic interventions We have been able to get the participants to help us when they are ready to collaborate in our project.
THE ARTISTS
In “Metonimia”, Museum of the Senses 2023, we have a fixed core of artists, accompanied by a group of invited artists all of them from high quality and experience. The participation of the different artists is determined by the suitability of their personal and technical characteristics, in order to adapt to the characteristics of the public that visits us, to the place where the exhibition will be held and to the activities to be developed. Each of them will participate with two works.
